Coach Claudia Farrell
Coach Claudia Farrell brings elite-level playing and coaching experience to Clutch Fastpitch private lessons and clinics. A former standout pitcher and current collegiate pitching coach, Farrell is one of the most accomplished pitchers in Grand View softball history.

During her collegiate career at Grand View University (2015–2018), Farrell earned four NAIA All-American honors and was named Heart of America Conference Pitcher of the Year four times. She finished her career with 100+ wins and over 1,000 strikeouts, establishing herself as one of the premier pitchers in NAIA softball. She played a key role in multiple NAIA Opening Round appearances for the Vikings.

Following graduation, Farrell joined the Grand View coaching staff, where she is now in her ninth season as the program’s pitching coach. She has been instrumental in developing high-level pitching staffs and helping lead the Vikings to multiple NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a 7th-place finish in 2022 and a 5th-place finish at the 2025 NAIA World Series.

A Des Moines native, Farrell was a standout at Dowling Catholic High School, earning Class 5A Pitcher of the Year honors and First Team All-State recognition. She still holds multiple Iowa state tournament records and was inducted into the Dowling Catholic Hall of Fame in 2019.

At Clutch Fastpitch, Coach Farrell provides private pitching lessons and small-group clinics, specializing in efficient pitching mechanics, velocity development, and spin rate improvement. With a background in Psychology and Human Services, she focuses not only on physical development but also confidence, consistency, and mental toughness in the circle
